What does it take to create leaders who will thrive in your company?

Answers to these questions can be found in different schools of thought. Below I portrayed two of the most important ones.


John C. Maxwell asked in his book „The 5 Levels of Leadership“ very important questions, such as:

  • ► How do you define leadership?
  • ► What is a leader?
  • ► How does leadership work?

He came to the following conclusion: LEADERSHIP IS INFLUENCE.

If people can increase their influence with others, they can lead more effectively. The question becomes then…

  • ► How can we gain influence with others?
  • ► How can we develop a productive team?

He developed a tested and proven concept of 5 Levels of Leadership that answers all of these questions. I use it in my coaching with my clients as well as the 21 powerful irrefutable Laws of Leadership.

The CHALLENGE OF LEADERSHIP is to create change and facilitate growth. In order to do so, you have to move up from one level of leadership to the next one.


LEVEL 5: PINNACLERespect – People follow because of who you are and what you represent.

LEVEL 4: PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT – Reproduction – People follow because of what you have done for them.

LEVEL 3: PRODUCTION – Results – People follow because of what you have done for the organization.

LEVEL 2: PERMISSION – Relationships – People follow you because they want to.

LEVEL 1: POSITION – Rights – People follow you because they have to.

In our coaching sessions…

  • ► I will explain each level to you
  • ► It’s benefits and downsides
  • ► The best behaviors for each level
  • ► The beliefs you need to embrace to move up to the next level
  • ► How everything relates to the 21 irrefutable Laws of Leadership.

This is very powerful work and worth spent every hour invested. If you embrace this knowledge and implement it and you add the energy leadership methodology, you are unbeatable.

Despite these proven and tested principles and systems, there are areas where they are not effective enough. This is the area for the non-traditional leadership methodologies and concepts such as energy leadership or neuroleadership (brain science, neuroscience and leadership principles combined).


I personally appreciate a holistic perspective that includes every aspect of leadership. During my coaching training, I got introduced to Energy Leadership.

Trained in traditional leadership, first I wondered what energy has to do with leadership. My first impression was that belongs to the Woo Woo category and first I wanted to ignore it.

Luckily, I didn´t!!! Below I will explain why you should consider it as well, and open up your mind even if you don´t believe in energy. You might learn something powerful that changes lives and businesses!


More than a hundred years ago, Albert Einstein addressed the scientific community, passionately presenting the idea that everything we see, hear, taste, touch, and smell is not matter, but energy.  Everything that “matters” is energy.

  • If this is the case, what powerful implication has this statement?
  • ► Why are we not using this knowledge in our business? 

Just think for a moment about it…Everything is energy, then everything you are is a form of energy, expressed in how you show up in the world, or in other words, who are you BEING.


Just think about someone you see as a LEADER, someone who always seems to be in a bad mood.

  • ► How quickly can you feel the tension when they walk in the room?
  • ► What can you read on other people’s faces?
  • ► How does this person’s impact spill over into everyone else’s mood and level of productivity?

On the other hand, think about a fun, dynamic LEADER who inspires others and happily gives credit where credit is due.

  • ► How quickly do you engage with leaders like this?
  • ► How do other people respond, in comparison to the first example?
  • ► How does this light, positive person naturally enhance people’s peace of mind and important everyday interactions?

That ripple effect you feel is energy. And it’s critical for leaders to understand its impact.

This is where the power of Energy Leadership lies—each of us has the power to identify and shift our own energies to better serve our employees and customer, and anyone else we interact with—to lead—right from where we are.


This research-backed system, utilized by companies such as Boeing, IKEA, and the United States Coast Guard, as well as tens of thousands of individuals, allows leaders to harness and measure energy to achieve success in the workplace, and in the world at large.


Energy Leadership™ is the process that develops a personally effective style of leadership that positively influences and changes not only yourself but also those with whom you work and interact, as well as your organization as a whole.

Note: Traditional leadership and energy leadership have the same goal of gaining influence. Level 5 in John C. Maxwell’s system states: “People follow because of who you are and what you represent.”

In my opinion, this has a lot to do with “how you show up”. This is exactly what energy leadership helps you to do. To show up positively and to raise up to level 5 easily.  Therefore, the energy leadership system is a great tool to achieve this goal faster.

Before we explore the rest of what Energy Leadership may have to offer you, let’s define the two key terms:

What is leadership?

Leadership is how you interact with everyone, including yourself. 

What is energy?

The answer is simple: everything. Everything you see, hear, smell, taste, touch, and even think is made up of vibrating, living energy. Energy is about the way you “show upin and to the world.

Most of us are unaware of the type of energy we embody, and how that plays out in our lives.

Energy leadership will help you to become aware of your current energy level and give you tools to make important energetic shifts that will change your world as you know it.

Ideal leaders are anabolic leaders, meaning they create and automatically attract success.


There are two main types of assessments: Personality and Attitudinal.

  • ►Personality based assessments, such as Myers Briggs and D.I.S.C. are very valuable tools that pinpoint certain personality types so that people can have more of an understanding of what their strengths and weaknesses are. By understanding your personality and how it relates to what you do, you can adapt your behavior to “work with what you have,” to function effectively.
  • ►The E.L.I. is an attitudinal assessment, which is based on an energy/action model. This assessment differs from personality assessments as it is not intended to label a person and have them work well within that label. Instead, it measures your level of energy based on your attitude, or perception and perspective of your world. Because attitude is subjective, it can be altered. By working with a coach using the E.L.I., you can alter your attitude and perspective, and increase your energy and leadership effectiveness.
